Technical Sales Lead-Water Utilities

YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Technical Sales Lead to boost our activities in the drinking water sector around the world. As a Technical Sales Lead, you will be the responsible for offering our DALI Pipeline Monitoring (fluves.com/dali) and Fluves SEWER (fluves.com/sewer) solutions to wate utilities around the world, and for supporting our global partner network.
The Technical Sales Lead will drive our sales by developing new business opportunities worldwide, working with our partner network, and will translate these opportunities into intelligently crafted technical project offers that combine high customer satisfaction with excellent profitability.
The Technical Sales Lead will develop strategic and operational sales plans and forecasts in close collaboration with the management to identify and produce a steady pipeline of prospects. The Technical Sales Lead stays up to date and informs the organization of market developments, industry trends and competitor activity and partners with internal technical and marketing teams to utilize customer insights and market intelligence to contribute to the roadmap.
Other responsibilities of the Technical Sales Lead include:
· Prepare and detail technical offers including scope of work definition and budget calculations.
· Frequent travel to (potential) distributors and sales representatives as well as travel alone to visit end customers.
· Be the single point of contact for the customer until the deal closing, in close collaboration with the internal project management team.
· Actively participate in defining the pricing strategy for the different products. Taking the lead in identifying and prioritizing the most relevant business opportunities.
· Coordinate the prospection & pre-sales activities and take the lead in customer meetings and follow-up.
· Create and maintain a healthy sales pipeline for our water utility product line.
· Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the product in the market, in collaboration with the marketing team.
· Provide technical direction and support to the product development team.
· Work closely with engineering, design,marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
· Define and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with company goals.
· Attend industry and distributor trade shows.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· You have a master's degree, by preference with an Engineering or Business Administration background, or equivalent by experience.
· You combine strong commercial and technical skills (by education or experience) and have an international outlook.
· You are passionate about sales with at least 3 years of international sales experience in a technical B2B/B2G environment, by preference in the utilities or water market.
· You are fluent in English, both verbal and written, and you have professional proficiency in one or more additional languages. You have strong writing and presentation skills.
· You have experience with managing CRM systems(Hubspot, Salesforce) in a structured way.
· You demonstrate a high level of initiative, motivation and autonomy.
· You have a natural sales flair with great communication skills.
· You are willing to travel frequently for multiple days to weeks.
