After an international career spanning academia, industry and public innovation, he has come full circle back to Belgium to help Fluves and Marlinks scale as global deep-tech leaders. Outside of work he enjoys classical music, dogs and exploring the world by train.

As Head of Marketing & Sales and Sales Manager for Marlinks, Liesbeth leads customer engagement with a strong focus on integrity, collaboration, and long-term value creation. She plays a key role in connecting customer needs with innovative monitoring solutions while strengthening Fluves’ global market presence.

With an international mindset and a drive to provide exceptional value to customers, Michiel brings a wealth of experience in industrial sales and scale-up environments to Fluves. Michiel is dedicated to fostering strong client relationships and delivering innovative solutions to meet their needs. As a father of three daughters, he balances his professional life with a passion for sports.

Timothy is a sales person at heart with strong technical knowledge. "How can we be of service." is always on his mind. The needs of the client or prospect comes first. He focuses on growing Fluves further in the BeNeLux and assist with our introduction into new markets.

Simon brings extensive experience in the electrical design of turbines, offshore wind farms, and power grids. As Portfolio Lead, he combines technical expertise with innovation, contributing to multiple academic publications, conference proceedings, and patented developments within the energy sector.

Stijn enjoys well-crafted, tested and documented code. He is convinced that computer power should be used to solve real-world environmental problems instead of mining bitcoins. As he enjoys the outdoor as much as his computer screen, you will regularly find him on his bike.

Marlies enjoys supporting here colleagues on a day-to-day basis and she also likes to make sure everything at the office runs smoothly. Outside office hours Marlies loves upcycling, traveling and all things Asian.

Arnout is trained in environmental and analytical chemistry and fascinated by the interactions between chemistry, biology and physics in aquatic systems. In his free time you might find him hiking or cycling in old forests.

Bram is responsible for the further development of our software front-end and our Fiber optic software. He is an Engineer with a strong interest in mathematical modeling and machine learning with a passion for software development. Above all that he is a windsurf addict.

Niels focuses on modeling and how to enhance the predictions by integrating observations along the way. He loves that moment, mostly at the end of a long day of debugging, when a dull chunk of code comes alive and produces somewhat realistic outputs. In another life Niels would have liked to become an elite discus thrower. That didn't work out physically.

Johan likes to work on the interface of IT and science, putting scientific programs & models in production and maintaining the infrastructure. You may also spot him on open source conferences, in Latin bars, cycling with his kids or near a dartsboard.

Carlos is passionate about sediment transport, computational fluid mechanics, and the scientific processes behind cable safety. As a Data Scientist, he contributes to advancing knowledge and analytical capabilities within the team. Outside of work, he enjoys both social gatherings and outdoor adventures, from cinema nights to long hikes with friends.

Daan performs GIS-analyses and models hydrodynamic and geomorphological processes based on monitoring data. And knows quite a bit of electronics. His favourite spot is on his sailing boat in the middle of a roaring North sea.

Neil focuses on the research and development of new algorithms and analytical approaches for subsea cable monitoring. His multidisciplinary background allows him to approach challenges from multiple perspectives. Outside of work, he enjoys road cycling and playing the saxophone and bass guitar.

Sudhanshu is a Machine Learning Engineer who loves to keep up with the latest research in AI and develop algorithms for niche applications. When he's not out there looking for the next biking or hiking adventure, he enjoys cooking and fitness to recharge.

Based in the Taiwan office, Chris supports the installation and operation of Marlinks’ subsea cable monitoring systems across East Asia. With a strong customer-focused approach, he works closely with clients to develop solutions for complex and evolving offshore applications.

Ruth combines her passion for programming and emerging technologies with a collaborative mindset and strong team spirit. As Project & IT Engineer, she enjoys brainstorming innovative solutions and connecting with people. Outside the office, she spends her time swimming, diving, kayaking, and recently rediscovered her passion for theatre.

Sander is responsible for the development and deployment of both front-end and back-end web applications. Alongside his technical expertise, he also supports the team with his strong linguistic and copywriting skills, helping translate complex ideas into clear communication.

Katelijne supports both Sales and Marketing operations while contributing across the wider team wherever needed. With strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset, she plays an important role in keeping day-to-day activities running efficiently and smoothly.

Rob likes to think in solutions and not by problems. He brings his experience in multiple industries and background as Engineer in electronics to get things done. Next to the love for his family his heart is blown to the coast when the wind is up for kitesurfing. He is a little to easily tempted to accept a challenge.

Michiel has a background in pure mathematics and a passion for solving problems with functional, elegant code. As part of the IT team, he uses this expertise to push computation to the edge. In his downtime, he enjoys reading (with his cat inevitably claiming the spot where his laptop usually sits) and keeping fit with a variety of sports.

Wouter plays a key role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly, supporting the team across various administrative tasks. Outside the office, he enjoys exploring his creativity through 3D animation and sketching, and likes to recharge with a good run.

With a background in marketing and communication, Noy brings fresh creative energy to the team, along with a strong passion for content creation and design. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, capturing moments through photography, dancing, and discovering new places, as well as making memories with her family.

João is an Electrical Engineer with experience in power distribution systems, bringing a practical and solution-oriented approach to complex grid challenges. He contributes to ensuring reliable and efficient system performance across projects. Outside of work, João enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time in nature to recharge.

Hazel is Fluves’ Chief Happiness Officer, bringing positive energy to the office with her friendly personality and daily “rounds” to greet the team. Always happy to be around people, she plays an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable work environment.
