Corporate IT & Security Operations Lead
At Fluves, we deliver cutting-edge monitoring solutions for critical infrastructure in the offshore wind, water supply and chemical sectors. Our monitoring applications support clients worldwide, and as we grow, we are investing in stronger internal operations, clearer processes, and scalable tooling that help teams move quickly without breaking things.
We are looking for a Corporate IT Operations & Security Lead who will play a central role in keeping our corporate IT reliable, secure, and ready to scale with the company. You will work closely with our product engineering and DevOps IT team and become the key point of coordination for corporate tooling, user support, operational security, and compliance initiatives.
This is a hands-on managerial role where you will both define direction and actively execute operational tasks. You are comfortable working independently, making pragmatic decisions, and continuously improving how we operate. A key part of the role will be supporting our compliance journey, maintaining the operational controls and evidence collection needed for ISO 27001 and aligning with evolving regulations such as GDPR, NIS2, and CRA.
YOUR ROLE
As a Corporate IT Operations & Security Lead you will:
ISO compliance & security operations
- Ensure our organisation uses tools and processes that comply with ISO 27001 and evolving regulations (e.g. GDPR, NIS2, CRA). You combine ownership with hands-on execution to keep these controls operational and tailored to the company needs as we scale.
- Responsible for internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation and evidence trails to keep the ISO 27001 certification and adhere to other regulations (e.g. GDPR, NIS2, CRA).
Corporate IT & infrastructure management
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate hardware (laptops, servers and peripherals) for Windows and Linux environments.
- Oversee user provisioning and de-provisioning (onboarding/offboarding), ensuring timely access rights and security compliance.
- Administer our current core collaboration tools, define the future vision, including evaluating and, where it makes business sense, migrating to alternative providers.
- Drive integration and convergence across tools such as HubSpot, Notion, Everhour to reduce fragmentation, streamline workflows, and improve data consistency.
- Maintain, monitor and optimize network, Wi-Fi, and server environments.
User support
- Act as the primary "go-to" person for IT-related inquiries and troubleshooting for our Ghent office and remote locations (currently: office in Taiwan).
- Resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly with a focus on user satisfaction.
- Set up an IT support intake. Document common issues and solutions to extend the knowledge base for the team.
Process improvement & ownership
- Take full ownership of the corporate IT function and develop our corporate tooling landscape, including the further adoption of AI-supported workflows.
- Define a clear strategy on in-house expertise versus outsourcing. Select and guide contractors to maximize the effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of transparency by clearly communicating IT status, changes, and incidents to the wider team.
YOUR PROFILE
You are someone who combines technical expertise, ownership, and a pragmatic mindset. You have:
- Experience: 3+ years in an IT operations management role, preferably in a small-to-medium enterprise (SME).
- Cloud & collaboration: Hands-on experience with user identity management, cloud platforms and integration of business tools such as Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Notion and Everhour.
- Compliance mindset: Familiarity with ISO standards (particularly ISO 27001) and experience implementing operational controls (e.g. logging, access management, asset tracking).
- Soft Skills:
- Independence: You can work autonomously, prioritize your own workload, and take decisions with limited guidance while keeping relevant stakeholders informed.
- Detail-oriented: Meticulous attention to configuration settings and documentation.
- Transparent: Clear, honest, and proactive communication style.
- Ownership: A "fix-it" attitude where you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.
- Continuous learner: You are eager to master new tools and adapt quickly to the changing landscape of IT operations and security.
- Bachelor's degree in applied computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
WHAT WE OFFER
- A pivotal role in a growing company where your impact is immediately visible.
- The autonomy to shape our IT strategy and processes.
- Work from a comfortable office space close to Ghent city center with good connections for public transport and highway.
- Competitive salary and benefits package, tailored to your experience.
- The opportunity to grow with a company at an exciting stage: your work will shape how we scale with increased responsibilities and team scope.
