Sewage Monitoring
With Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) we are monitoring three sewage pipes for NSVA in Sweden. The first piece is a sewer in Kattarp of 1400m. And then we are monitoring two other sewers in Tågarp.
NSVA selected these three sections because in these areas a lot of 'clean' river and groundwater and rain enters the sewer, so that there is too much water in the sewer during heavy rain and/or snow. As a result, the wastewater is diluted and is processed less efficiently in the treatment plant. No other techniques were able to locate the infiltration problems at these locations.
