Scope Of The Project
In 2022 Fluves started monitoring waterlevels and discharges at four locations in and around the open-air museum of Bokrijk for Witteveen+Bos. Next to these four measurement stations, we also build a monitoring station for precipitation in the same catchment. The IoT measuring stations are low power and transmit their data after every measurement. In this way we can follow the water levels and discharges in real time.
Why the project was done
Witteveen+Bos needs Information about the waterquantities in the area of Bokrijk. The discharge stations are placed in strategic places along the river to get as much information about where river water is used in small canals and ponds. Witteveen+Bos uses the Fluves data in a project for the Vlaamse Landmaatschappij (VLM).
Specifics of the project
In this project Fluves uses the high-quality contactless sensors of Geolux. Fluves Is distributor of these sensors to measure water level and velocities In Belgium.
